I regularly provide tutoring for IGCSE, GCSE, A Level and 11+ entry exams, development of reading and writing skills for young learners, and online learning for international and EFL students – but I can structure and tailor learning to meet any requirements, including to simply enrich the curriculum, enthuse and inspire.

I have worked in Grammar schools, Comprehensive schools, independently with home schoolers and as a private tutor for over 30 years. During that time I have:

Prepared students for IGCSE, GCSE, A level and entrance exams for independent schools at 11+
Worked with learners at all levels of attainment
Supported reading and writing skills with primary age and early secondary age children
Used a wide variety of texts, online resources and methods to improve knowledge base and skills in comprehension, writing and grammar
Regularly supported students to increase grades significantly

I can deliver sessions from the study space at my home in South Zeal near Okehampton in Devon – or I may be able to travel to you, if you are within an approximately ten-mile radius and have a suitably peaceful environment for learning. For those further away, tutoring can be delivered online using Zoom or Skype.

Prices start at £25 per hour, I maintain an up-to-date DBS check and full references are available on request.
